THE ROSES OF THE YEAR 2022/23

My entries; “Roses in Glass Houses” and “The Blue Rose Observer” for the Roses of the Year art open call. I am a British artist, who although is travelling, is based in London.

Description of the artwork:

Roses in Glass Houses: All over the world, roses are treasured flowers, their depiction in glass houses portrays both their fragility and short life span. Their enduring beauty is for a few moments in time, and their fragrance a testament to nature’s grace.

The Blue Rose Observer: A blue rose for blue days, turning any moment of sadness into a smile. The layers of petals encase within them a depth and poignancy, which through endless observation could be the beginning to understanding the language of roses.
