Norcia BANNER UNA MOSTRA UN RESTAURO

My “Shooting Star” is a collage created with 300 waste-paper pieces from torn and decomposed publicity posters(2012, cm.53×35). It was selected and donated to the 40th edition of “An exhibition, A restoration” which intends to protect and to preserve a great piece of art by Jacopo Siculo (XVI Century), “Incoronazione della Vergine”, in the beautiful Norcia (Perugia, Umbria, Italy). My “Shooting Star” work will be on show from July 12, 2014 to September 7, 2014,  at Complesso monumentale San Francesco. The event is promoted by “Una mostra, Un restauro” committee.

Hearty agreement and great success in Anzio (Rome) for the exhibition “Scratches, Cracks and Lacer-actions / Between dream and reality” inspired by Roberto Alborghetti artworks for the project co-ordinated and carried out by Professor Patrizia Sapri. The show was held at the  Professional Institute “Marco Gavio  Apicio” where a series of pictures told a journey through “special painterly colors and material” and the singular experience involving children with disabilities and carriers of the syndrome of autism spectrum. The initiative was made possible thanks to the support of the Rotary Club of Roma Golfo di Anzio, Nettuno , which has included the activities in “Anzio for Autism” project .

MARCH 13, 2014

ACT (Art-Culture-Tourisme) in Beeston, Nottingham, UK, was a “cultural experiment” bringing all together to perform artists from different Nations of the world. I was very glad to be part of this wonderful event with my Lacer/action Project about works of torn and decomposed publicity posters, natural and random “cracks” and scratches and urban signs. The  Cultures Crossing event was held at Anglo-Scotian Mills on Wollaton Road, Beeston. Guest performers coming from different countries presented wonderful music, dance, literature, arts etc. A great opportunity to network with people from the business and creative domain. Event promoted by ACT (Founder Marysia Zipser, Events Manager & Arts/Heritage Tourism promoter).

JANUARY – FEBRUARY 2014

Eleven works from my “Lacer/actions” project went on…aluminium. After being re-produced on canvases, lithographic prints and textiles (silk and cotton), my images about decomposed publicity posters, cracks and “road signs” have found a new way to be showned and represented.

Now they are on aluminium plates… Maybe due to a surprising chemical reaction, aluminium metal gives brilliancy, depth and strenght to colors and shapes, releasing chromatic effects and emphasizing textures.

All the eleven installations are now part of private collection of Fai Service, in Italy, who participated to this “experimentation” curated and produced by “Passepartout” (Bergamo, Italy). So, enjoy this special gallery about “Lacer/actions on Aluminium” “as an unmistakable complement of interior design and decoration…”
