IT’S THE WORLD WATER DAY! MACROPHOTOGRAPHS LIKE COLORFUL SEAWATER

On March 22nd, World Water Day is a day to celebrate water and make a difference for people who do not have the water they need. In 1993 the United Nations decided that March 22nd is the World Day for Water. On this day every year, countries around the world hold events to educate people about the problems of dirty water and that clean water is something that everyone should have around the world. For World Water Day, some people walk, run or cycle 10km, others climb mountains or even jump from an aeroplane and skydive to the ground. People give them money to do these things and all the money helps get clean water to as many people as possible around the world.

So I like to think about the World Water Day message through some of my macro-photographs that play to reproduce the water of the sea. The clear cut of the horizon line separates colors and spaces and offers the perspective illusion of an image of seas and oceans, a great resource to be preserved and defended. The photographs presented in this gallery refer to torn advertising posters and corrosion on metals. A palette for the mind, suspended between multicolored seas that symbolize life.
