At the library of the IIS Severi Correnti – High School institute directed by Dr. Gabriella Conte and among the excellent schools of the Lombard metropolis – the exhibition Diciotto is open to the public. It is the result of an in-depth study on the subject of the Artist’s Book, which began in September and ended in recent weeks.
Although Severi-Correnti is not an art school, the project was welcomed with enthusiasm and a group of three-year students, coming from the various fields of study of the Institute, interpreted and reworked the theme in a completely personal way, drawing on their own experience and their own technical and artistic skills. The exhibition features 18 projects that are very different in inspiration, workmanship and size. But they all express strong messages of a personal and social nature. The authors have been able to find alternative ways to narrate something about themselves, including the discomfort of an adolescence stuck in the last two years of the pandemic.

Presso la biblioteca dell’IIS Severi Correnti – Scuola secondaria di Secondo grado diretta dalla dott.ssa Gabriella Conte e tra gli istituti scolastici d’eccellenza della metropoli lombarda – è aperta al pubblico la mostra Diciotto. E’ il risultato di un percorso di approfondimento sul tema del Libro dʼartista, iniziato a settembre e concluso nelle scorse settimane.
Nonostante il Severi-Correnti non sia una scuola d’arte, il progetto è stato accolto con entusiasmo e un gruppo di studenti del triennio, provenienti dai vari indirizzi di studio dell’Istituto, ha interpretato e rielaborato in modo del tutto personale il tema, attingendo al proprio vissuto e alle proprie competenze tecniche e artistiche. La mostra presenta 18 progetti molto diversi come ispirazione, fattura e dimensioni. Ma tutti esprimono forti messaggi di carattere personale e sociale. Gli autori hanno saputo trovare forme alternative per narrare qualcosa di sé, compreso il disagio di un’adolescenza bloccata negli ultimi due anni di pandemia.
