In my close-up photographs of decompositions and disfigurement of the urban environment, we often recognize figurative elements. As in the case of this image, captured on an advertisement board. It is not a painting. It is not an acrylic. It is not an oil. And not even a collage. It is a simple photographic image. It suggests thoughts and memories for Moon Day 2019, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of the historic lunar landing, which occurred on 20 th of July 1969.

The picture is part of my “LaceR/Actions” project-research, which now has reached 120.000 photos taken across the world. “LaceR/Actions” is a multidisciplinary project concerning researches about decomposed and torn publicity posters, natural cracks and scratches, urban/industrial tokens. Impressed by photocamera and transferred on canvases, reproduced on lithographic prints or textiles, re-built on collages or scanned in videoclips, the details of torn and decomposed publicity posters give new life to waste-paper and decomposed matters. Nelle mie fotografie (a distanza ravvicinata) di decomposizioni e deturpazione dell’ambiente urbano, capita spesso di riconoscere elementi figurativi. Come nel caso di questa immagine, colta su un tabellone della pubblicità. Non è un dipinto. Non è un acrilico.Non è un olio. E nemmeno un collage. E’ una semplice immagine fotografica. Suggerisce pensieri e ricordi per il Moon Day 2019, che celebra l’arrivo degli esseri umani sulla luna, avvenuto 50 anni fa.

L’immagine fa parte del mio progetto-ricerca “LaceR/Azioni”, che ora ha raggiunto 120.000 foto scattate in tutto il mondo. “LaceR/Azioni” è un progetto multidisciplinare che documenta elementi decomposti e deturpati dell’ambiente urbano, come manifesti pubblicitari strappati, crepe e graffi naturali, materiali industriali. Impressionati dalla fotocamera e trasferiti su tele, riprodotti su stampe litografiche o tessuti, ricostruiti su collage o scansionati in videoclip, i dettagli di manifesti pubblicitari e gli elementi strappati e decomposti danno nuova vita alla carta straccia e alle cose scomposte. Come l’immagine qui sopra.
