Here is another beautiful photo close-up for the Year of Roses 2021, an initiative promoted internationally by Okay! and from ACT. We present the photographic composition sent to us from Bitonto, Bari, by the pupil Federica Carbone, who attends the 3D class, secondary school at the comprehensive institute “Cassano – De Renzio”; coordinator professor Anna Ruggiero.

Federica, with the use of a creative application of images, has built a truly interesting and meaningful composition. Federica’s work bears the mark of actuality and drama: it is in fact dedicated to Afghan women who are fighting and hoping for freedom. The dress of roses, which recalls the burqa, a symbol of constraint, becomes a vehicle to launch an appeal so that the world does not forget the difficult conditions in which Afghanistan has fallen in recent weeks. The image is accompanied by verses by Nadia Anjuman, an Afghan poetess. It is a message of beauty, strength and grace that is spread throughout the Year of Roses 2021.

A “very good” also to Federica for her photographic composition which officially enters our beautiful Album of the Year of Roses 2021, deserving to be published.

We remind you that for Italy photos and drawings must be sent (maximum 5 shots, in light format) by 30 September 2021 to the following email address: okayredazione@gmail.com. They must be accompanied by the author’s data and also by some illustrative lines. Photos can also be sent via Messenger on the Noi Siamo Okay! Page of Facebook.
