The torn advertising posters that we see on the outdoor billboards – which are one of the main  subjects of my “Lacer/actions” project – lend themselves to being cataloged and sorted according to various types. One is related to the broken words, that is the composition of random letters due to the overlapping of the different layers of paper.

For an absolutely casual and spontaneous reason, layers of paper are placed side by side and overlapped, thus composing contemporary art scenarios, like the same ones that had been manually composed on canvas by artists such as Rotella and Villeglè. Here, on the other hand, it is the absolute spontaneity of the deconstruction that dominates the scene and enchants the eyes with a sort of Babel provided by letters and words. Fascinating and surprising, right?

So – sorry I repeat myself – what we see in this photogallery are not collages built and created deliberately with my hands, joining and sticking piece by piece. They are photos of real and random torn publicity posters I saw on an outdoor billboard. They are the result of various and different overlaps, which took place over weeks and months. I was lucky enough to catch them and to take pictures for my “Lacer/actions” Project and Archive which now count more than 120,000 photographs I took so far around the world.

Affascinante e sorprendente, vero?
