HERE’S HOW A PRIVATE COLLECTOR HAS ARRANGED MY ARTWORK IN THE HOUSE

“Why don’t you come and see how your artistic work has been arranged on the walls of my house?” This is the question I have often heard from an admirer of my works. Three years ago he had acquired “Memory Layers”, one of my collage works: a work made entirely of small pieces of scrap paper recovered from outdoor billboards.

I too often have the curiosity to see where my works end, both the collages and the reproductions on canvas of my macro photographs on the decomposed materials along the streets and in urban environments. In recent days I was in Rome and therefore I visited the private collector who is the owner of the collage “Memory Layers”. The work was placed in the entrance space, in an excellent position and well enlighted. The collectori told me that the work is very much appreciated by the guests, who are intrigued and impressed by how simple waste paper can then be re-composed into suggestive and particular scenes, such as those presented by “Memory Layers”.

“Memory Layers” (Strati di Memoria), 72 x 52 cms. The work is totally made of waste paper of torn and decomposed publicity posters. The collage is not available and was created for a private collector. The collage now has an added value as it was chosen for the cover of the diary-agenda 2018-2019.

    1. Thank you so much for your kind comment. Yes, the artwork is displayed in the hall of the entrance. They said me that people are pushed to touch it! They do not believe that is all’ made with little pieces of waste paper from torn and decomposed publicity posters.
