Everyone on wheels today! It is in fact “World Skate Day” announced worldwide to celebrate 100 years of the World Skate foundation. In the photo, with me, is Alessandro Mazzara, international skateboarding champion, met at the national headquarters of the FISR (Italian Roller Sports Federation) in Rome. Alessandro, together with the artistic roller skating champion, Gioia Fiori, helped me enter the world of roller sports which I described in the book “Sogni, Brividi e Rotelle”, with illustrations by Eleonora Moretti, published by Funtasy Editrice with FISR – Italian Roller Sports and Sports and Health Federation. The book features the presentation by Sabatino Aracu, National President of FISR and International President of World Skate.

The volume is an opportunity to bring the world of those who ride wheels closer, through a story. Alessandro Mazzara’s exploits are already history: he participated in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics (debut of skateboarding at the Games) finishing 12th (out of 80 athletes competing). He took 1st place at the 2017 Vert Finals Pro Skate in Bristol. He’s the best Italian athlete (15th place) in the World Skate ranking.

Oggi 21 aprile tutti sulle rotelle! È infatti lo “World Skate Day” indetto a livello mondiale per celebrare i 100 anni della fondazione World Skate. Nella foto, con me, c’è Alessandro Mazzara, campione internazionale di skateboarding, incontrato presso la sede nazionale della FISR (Federazione Italiana Sport Rotellistici) a Roma. Alessandro, insieme alla campionessa di pattinaggio artistico su rotelle, Gioia Fiori, mi ha aiutato ad entrare nel mondo degli sport rotellistici che ho raccontato nel libro “Sogni, Brividi e Rotelle”, con le illustrazioni di Eleonora Moretti, edito da Funtasy Editrice con FISR – Federazione Italiana Sport Rotellistici e Sport e Salute.
