We are delighted to introduce you to the Year of the Roses 2021 great online exhibition with the best pictures, from tomorrow Saturday 13th November.  All roses images and their stories submitted have been showcased on our respective social media from April to 30 September.  After submissions closed, the judges selected 60 of the best images received by ACT UK and OKAY! Italy which are categorized by name and country.   You can click on the images to enlarge and find out more.

The launch of the final video of the 60 best photos will be on Wednesday 1st December.

The video will also be presented at the Beeston Pilot Light Night event, Nottingham, on Saturday 29th January 2022, 16.30 hrs – 22.00 hrs, in the land of Robin Hood.

This online exhibition and forthcoming video concludes our 2021 celebration of roses and what they mean to us.  Held during these difficult pandemic times, the initiative aimed to strengthen our spirits and encourage artistic and emotional expression – to celebrate nature and our place within it.  It has attracted beautiful creativity from different ages, cultures and nations.  For adults, it was an opportunity for them to release poignant memories of roses bringing family, friends and places closer together and school students to create images that were innovative and meaningful.  (The rose is a sign of hope for the future.  Because after the thorns we need the roses.)

Da domani, 13 novembre, siamo lieti di presentarvi la grande mostra online dell’Anno delle Rose 2021 con le migliori immagini. Tutte le immagini delle rose e le loro storie inviate sono state mostrate sui nostri rispettivi social media da aprile al 30 settembre. Dopo la chiusura delle iscrizioni, i giudici hanno selezionato le 60 migliori immagini ricevute da ACT UK e OKAY! Italia, classificandole per nominativo e Paese. Il video sarà presentato anche all’evento Beeston Pilot Light Night, Nottingham, sabato 29 gennaio 2022, dalle 16.30 alle 22.00, nella terra di Robin Hood.

Questa mostra online e il prossimo video concludono la nostra iniziativa dell’Anno delle Rose 2021 e cosa le rose significano per noi. L’iniziativa, svoltasi durante questi difficili tempi di pandemia, mirava a rafforzare i nostri spiriti e incoraggiare l’espressione artistica ed emotiva, per celebrare la natura e il nostro posto al suo interno. Ha attratto belle opere di creatività, con partecipanti di diverse età, culture e nazioni. Per gli adulti, è stata un’opportunità per liberare ricordi commoventi di rose che avvicinano la famiglia, gli amici e i luoghi; per gli studenti delle scuole un modo per creare immagini innovative e significative. La rosa è un segno di speranza per il futuro. Perché dopo le spine abbiamo bisogno delle rose.
