“The Tree Of Life” is a macro photo on aluminum, made for my “Lacer/actions” project-research  about realistic and not manipulated images of torn and decomposed publicity posters, natural cracks and urban “signs”. The image is a magnification of cracks on a waste-container placed in Amsterdam near the Royal Palace (2012). Thanks to a sophisticated technological process, the high resolution macro photography was transferred to an aluminum plate measuring 80 x 60 centimeters. A successful experiment that then made it possible to create a series of 12 works acquired by a private collector. The effect of photography on aluminum is quite surprising. Aluminum, an entirely recyclable material, proved to be very malleable and functional in reproducing my photographs. The video is inspired by Terrence Malick’s movie.
