“IS WHAT I’M SEEING REAL OR IS IT JUST A SIGN?…” is a quote from a phrase of the “Enigma” song by Lady Gaga on his latest album “Chromatica”. It seemed like the perfect comment for my artwork “The Third Eye”. The piece is a collage and its sizes are 74 x 44 cms. As all my collage works, the artwork is all done with waste paper from torn and decomposed advertising posters. Its compositional process is articulated in the phase of de-construction of the paper material (collected at the billboards) and its re-composition in a unitary scene using small pieces of waste paper.

Have you ever thought of making a collage and then pasting it back on a street billboard and perhaps photograph it as it is weathered and worn? Sort of going full cycle! It’s a thought I had and so I’ve shared it with you.

Thank you so much Mr.C. Yes, nice idea. Maybe one day. Why not? I remember that in London, some years ago, an Art Group launched an initiative to show artworks on big billboards in some Underground Stations. Thanks for the suggestion and I wish you a lovely weekend.
