Since the time Marysia Zipser moved to Beeston Rylands (Nottinghamshire) from West Bridgford in 2012, she has created and cultivated her small garden backyard, from blank canvas, and wildflower front yard.
She has shared her progress and photographs locally and across the globe via social media and LinkedIn.
Most successful wildflower seeds used by Pictorial Meadows, Sheffield. Pictorial Meadows
Garden flowers, roses, lavenders and perennials from Ashridge Nurseries, Somerset, Yorkshire Lavenders (Lavender World), David Austin Roses and local garden centres at Bardills and Notcutts (Wheatcrofts), Edwalton.
Her wildflower bank on Broxtowe Borough Council’s Leyton Crescent Recreation Park (other side of her garden fence through garden gate) she created in 2020 and this year she sowed new seeds in mid-March which have flowered incredibly well, giving pleasure to walkers and dog owners who pass by. Even to those taking photo portraits in front of the bank of their dogs and sharing them on social media.
Her garden and wildflowers bring a hive of bees, butterflies and other insects regularly to feast on the pollinator plants, especially the lavenders, roses, poppies and brightly coloured flowers. The sounds of bees and wild birds create a therapeutic and contemplative mood bringing much joy to her, to passersby and visitors to her garden and the park.
Marysia has learnt so much about wildlife visitors and the benefits of growing pollinator plants in however small garden and public parkside spaces are, and wishes to continue sharing this and her knowledge on creating small garden spaces.
Please see public videos and photos of her garden on https://www.artculturetourism.co.uk/ website and on her personal social media.
