“It comes and goes in waves and carries us away…” is a quote from “Waves” song recorded by Dean Lewis on his album “A place we know”. Lewis is an Australian singer-songwriter and is best known for his 2016 single “Waves“, which was certified 7× Platinum in Australia in 2020; see the track list at:  A Place We Knew (CD) – Dean Lewis AU Official Store (deanlewismusic.com) . The phrase fits very well with my artwork “Letting me go on Waves“, which is a collage made on a little table; its sizes are 108×51 cms. This work was created with more than 1.200 small paper pieces collected along the streets as waste material from outdoor torn and decomposed publicity posters. The compositional process is articulated in the phase of de-construction of the paper material (collected at the billboards) and its re-composition in a unitary scene using small pieces of waste paper.
