And the ancient Aragonese castle built by the Normans came to life with colors and history. In Conversano (BA, Puglia), the imposing walls of the manor that belonged to the Acquaviva counts were the perfect and evocative screen for an audiovisual show (videomapping) staged on the occasion of the patronal festivals at the end of May, dedicated to the Byzantine icon of Mary of the Source.
The representation in images and texts – including passages from the Apocalypse of John and the Book of Isaiah – has reconstructed the historical events of the recovery and arrival in Conversano, in 487 AD, of the beautiful and artistic image depicting Mary and the child Jesus, kept in the Cathedral of Conversano. The spectacular event, accompanied by a soundtrack with dramatic suggestions, was curated by the director Antonio Minelli.

E l’antico castello aragonese costruito dai Normanni si animò di colori e di storia. A Conversano (BA, Puglia), le mura imponenti del maniero appartenuto ai Conti Acquaviva sono state il perfetto e suggestivo schermo di uno spettacolo audiovisivo (videomapping) andato in scena nella circostanza delle feste patronali di fine maggio, dedicate all’icona bizantina di Maria della Fonte.
La rappresentazione per immagini e testi – tra cui brani dall’Apocalisse di Giovanni e dal Libro di Isaia – ha ricostruito le vicende storiche del recupero e dell’arrivo a Conversano, nel 487 d.C., della bellissima e artistica immagine che raffigura Maria e il bambino Gesù, custodita nella Cattedrale di Conversano. Lo spettacolare evento, accompagnato da una colonna sonora dalle suggestioni drammatiche, è stato curato dal regista Antonio Minelli.
