“What does a rose mean to you?”. After the great success of the “Year of Roses 2021”, the popular initiative of OKAY! and ACT Group is back! From now on it will be called “The Roses of the Year” and is destined to develop and evolve as a permanent activity, inviting people of all ages to express their creativity and their love for the beauty of nature, especially for the rose, the “queen of flowers”.
The initiative is open to everyone: individuals, groups, associations and schools. What must be done to participate in “The Roses of the Year 2022”? Simple, you need to take pictures of everything that tells the world and the varieties of a rose, seen and photographed in all its aspects, shapes and colors. You can participate by photographing roses and gardens, or drawings, paintings, mosaics, frescoes and different types of crafts, all dedicated exclusively to her, to the queen of flowers. The images received will find their place online in a creativity gallery. A final public event is not excluded.
Here are the detailed points of the regulation to take part in “The Roses of the Year 2022”
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
• The photographic images must necessarily concern themes, subjects, elements and realities about the rose and roses, documented in the most various situations and conditions: gardens, interiors, furnishings, decorations, decorations, set-ups for events and celebrations.
• Photographic images can also relate to how artistic creativity tells the world of the rose through paintings (and other expressions and media) made with different techniques, methods, styles and forms, according to everyone’s creativity.
• Participation is aimed at people of all ages. Classes and schools can participate in full freedom, with drawings and photographs, even individually, or with their own school class.
• The images can be accompanied by a brief description of the subject (optional).
WHEN AND WHERE TO SEND THE WORKS
• The images sent to the initiative must be in a light format – jpg or png – not exceeding 2/3 MB, to facilitate the uploading process on the websites that will host the photo galleries.
• The images sent to the initiative must be a maximum of 3 for each participant, both in the case of a single person and in the case of a school class, group, association.
• All photographic material must be sent no later than 31 October 2022 to the following email address: okayredazione@gmail.com
• In the sending, in addition to the brief optional explanatory text, the personal data of each participant must be indicated: name, surname or name of school or group, city of residence, country.
• The images will be selected and will find their place in the online gallery “The Roses of the Year”: an online exhibition on the OKAY! Website. and shared on social media and by ACT Group.
• The soundtrack of the initiative also presents this year the evocative composition by Jeanie Barton, “Roses Theme”. But with big news. The performance sees the participation of the choir made up of pupils from the Comprehensive Institute “Cassano-De Renzio” in Bitonto, Bari (Apulia, Italy): the school manager is Prof. Saverio Pansini; deputy manager is Anna Maria Cutrone. The musical project involved several didactic disciplines and was coordinated by teachers prof. Lucrezia Napoli (choir direction), prof. Antonio Mancazzo (piano), prof. Emanuele Zotti (flute), prof. Michele Sanseverino (saxophone), prof. Giuseppe Maiorano (tenor); soloist: Agata Santopietro; violinists: the students Luisa Clemente and Sonia Luiso.
• This experience will also favour moments of creative sharing, to launch a message and a thought of serenity, projected into the future, in the wake of the words of the writer Anne Brontë:” But he that dares not grasp the thorn should never crave the rose”.

LE ROSE DELL’ANNO 2022: ECCO COME PARTECIPARE
La partecipazione è aperta a persone di ogni età e alle scuole. Le fotografie vanno inviate a: okayredazione@gmail.com entro il 31 ottobre 2022. Saranno selezionate per una grande mostra online. Il “Tema delle Rose” eseguito dal Coro degli Studenti dell’I.C. “Cassano-De Renzio” di Bitonto, Bari.
Dopo il grande successo dell’“Anno delle Rose 2021”, torna la grande iniziativa di OKAY! ed ACT Group. D’ora in avanti si chiamerà “Le Rose dell’Anno” ed è destinata a svilupparsi ed evolversi come attività permanente, invitando persone di ogni età ad esprimere la propria creatività e il proprio amore per la bellezza della natura, in modo particolare per la rosa, la “regina dei fiori”.
L’iniziativa è aperta a tutti: singole persone, gruppi, associazioni e scuole. Che cosa bisogna fare per partecipare a “Le Rose dell’Anno 2022”? Semplice, occorre scattare foto a tutto ciò che racconta il mondo e la dimensione di una rosa, vista e fotografata in tutti i suoi aspetti, forme e colori. Si può partecipare fotografando rose e giardini, oppure disegni, dipinti, mosaici e affreschi tutti dedicati solo ed esclusivamente a lei, alla regina dei fiori. Le immagini pervenute troveranno posto online in una galleria della creatività. Non è escluso un pubblico evento finale.

ECCO COME PARTECIPARE
- Le immagini fotografiche devono obbligatoriamente riguardare temi, soggetti, elementi e realtà riguardanti la rosa e le rose, documentate nelle più diverse situazioni e condizioni: giardini, interni, arredi, addobbi, decorazioni, allestimenti per eventi e celebrazioni.
- Le immagini fotografiche possono riguardare anche come la creatività artistica racconta il mondo della rosa attraverso dipinti (ed altre espressioni e mezzi) realizzati con tecniche, modalità, stili e forme diverse, secondo la creatività di ognuno.
- La partecipazione è indirizzata alle persone di ogni età. Classi ed istituti scolastici possono partecipare in piena libertà, con disegni e fotografie, anche individualmente, o con la propria classe scolastica.
- Le immagini possono essere accompagnate da una breve descrizione del soggetto (facoltativo).
QUANDO E DOVE INVIARE I LAVORI
- Le immagini inviate all’iniziativa devono essere in formato leggero – jpg o png – non superiore ai 2/3 MB, ciò per facilitare il processo di caricamento sui siti web che ospiteranno le gallerie fotografiche.
- Le immagini inviate all’iniziativa devono essere 3 al massimo per ogni partecipante, sia in caso di persona singola e sia in caso di classe scolastica, gruppo, associazione.
- Tutto il materiale fotografico va inviato entro e non oltre il 31 ottobre 2022 al seguente indirizzo email: okayredazione@gmail.com
- Nell’invio, oltre al breve testo illustrativo facoltativo vanno indicati i dati personali di ogni partecipante: nome, cognome o denominazione scuola o gruppo, città di residenza, Nazione.
- Le immagini saranno selezionate e troveranno posto nella galleria online “Le Rose dell’Anno”: una mostra in rete sul sito di OKAY! e condivisa sui social media e da ACT Group.
- La colonna sonora dell’iniziativa si avvale anche quest’anno della suggestiva composizione di Jeanie Barton, “Roses Theme”. Ma con una grande novità. L’esecuzione del brano vede la partecipazione del Coro formato da allieve ed allievi dell’Istituto Comprensivo “Cassano-De Renzio” di Bitonto, Bari (Puglia, Italy): dirigente scolastico è il prof.Saverio Pansini; vice-dirigente è Anna Maria Cutrone. Il progetto musicale ha coinvolto più discipline didattiche ed è stato coordinato dai docenti Lucrezia Napoli (direzione coro), Antonio Mancazzo (pianoforte), Emanuele Zotti (flauto), Michele Sanseverino (sassofono), Giuseppe Maiorano (tenore); solista: Agata Santopietro; violiniste: le allieve Luisa Clemente e Sonia Luiso.
- Anche questa esperienza favorirà momenti di condivisione creativa, per lanciare un messaggio e un pensiero di serenità, proiettato nel futuro, nella scia delle parole della scrittrice Anne Brontë: “Chi non osa afferrare la spina non dovrebbe mai desiderare la rosa (“But he that dares not grasp the thorn should never crave the rose”).
