The English magazine The Beestonian, in its special Christmas issue, with a beautiful article by Marysia Zipser, dedicates an entire page to the 10 years of my project “The Ghost Bus”, carried out with ACT (Art Culture Tourism) and with Simon Barton. The article talks in detail about this singular initiative that unites Italy and the United Kingdom, from when it all began with a visit of mine to the Barton Garages in Chilwell (Nottingham) up to the event that took place last June in the monumental St. John the Baptist Beeston Parish Church . Marysia Zipser talks about the great interest with which the public has welcomed the visual art project year after year (“A visual adventure in the Land of Robin Hood”, this is the slogan) focused on a different point of view (and perception) compared to what we consider disfigured, deteriorated, decomposed, as a rusty and old bus.

The Beestonian also publishes a photo gallery with images of the old bus from Barton Garage in the centre, where it is now kept. Marysia Zipser writes about how the project has allowed us to build bridges of collaboration involving bodies and institutions, from the Sheriff of Nottingham to the Universities of Nottinghamshire. La rivista inglese The Beestonian, nel suo numero speciale natalizio, con un bellissimo articolo di Marysia Zipser, dedica una intera pagina ai 10 anni del mio progetto “The Ghost Bus”, portato avanti con ACT (Art Culture Tourism) e con Simon Barton. L’articolo parla dettagliatamente di questa singolare iniziativa che unisce Italia e Regno Unito, da quando tutto iniziò con una mia visita ai Barton Garage di Chilwell (Nottingham) fino all’evento avvenuto nello scorso giugno nella monumentale St. John the Baptist Beeston Parish Church. Marysia Zipser racconta del grande interesse con cui il pubblico di anno in anno ha accolto il progetto di arte visiva (“A visual adventure in the Land of Robin Hood”, questo lo slogan) incentrato su un differente punto di vista (e di percezione) rispetto a ciò che noi consideriamo deturpato, deteriorato, decomposto.

The Beestonian pubblica anche una galleria fotografica con al centro le immagini del vecchio ed arrugginito bus del Barton Garage, dove ora è custodito. Marysia Zipser scrive di come il progetto abbia consentito di costruire ponti di collaborazione che hanno coinvolto enti ed istituzioni, dallo Sceriffo di Nottingham alle Università del Nottinghamshire.
