His Majesty King Charles III also gets on board the “Ghost Bus”, the surprising artistic project that has united the United Kingdom and Italy for ten years through events and activities. In a letter sent from Buckingham Palace on November 14, the English sovereign – through his spokesperson – thanks for the invitation extended to him to participate in the events of the tenth anniversary of The Ghost Bus. But not only that, His Majesty – always an attentive admirer of the artistic world – does not fail to express interest in the visual art project born and developed in Nottinghamshire, around a symbol of British public transport.

In fact, on the tenth anniversary of The Ghost Bus, Marysia Zipser (founder of ACT, Art Culture Tourism) and Roberto Alborghetti (journalist, writer and visual artist) wanted to tell King Charles about the development and evolution of the original initiative of The Ghost Bus started in historic Barton Garage in Chilwell (Nottingham).
He appreciated being updated on the Barton Quarter housing development which was designed by Ben Pentreath in association with The Prince’s Foundation (now the King’s Foundation).

The sovereign, unfortunately unable to attend the events scheduled at the ancient Saint John the Baptist Church in Beeston, nevertheless wanted to demonstrate his closeness to an initiative which for ten years has constituted a bridge of collaboration between the Land of Robin Hood and Italy .

The letter from Buckingham Palace is a precious document that encourages the path started with the innovative idea of visual art focused, through multimedia language, on different points of view (and perception) with respect to what we consider disfigured, deteriorated, decomposed . As known, at the center of everything there is an old and rusty bus which, through the photography of Roberto Alborghetti, takes on new life and expression, in a fascinating story through abstract images which now also received attention from King Charles.

THE GHOST BUS: L’INTERESSE DI RE CARLO IN UNA LETTERA DA BUCKINGHAM PALACE

Anche Sua Maestà Re Carlo d’Inghilterra sale a bordo del “Ghost Bus” , il sorprendente progetto artistico che da dieci anni unisce il Regno Unito all’Italia attraverso eventi ed attività. In una lettera inviata da Buckingham Palace il 14 novembre, il sovrano inglese – attraverso il suo portavoce – ringrazia per l’invito rivoltogli a partecipare agli eventi del decennale di The Ghost Bus. Ma non solo, Sua Maestà – da sempre attento estimatore  del mondo artistico – non manca di manifestare interesse attorno al progetto di arte visuale nato e sviluppato nel Nottinghamshire, attorno ad un simbolo del trasporto pubblico britannico. 

Infatti, nel decimo anniversario di The Ghost Bus, Marysia Zipser (fondatrice di ACT, Arte Cultura Turismo) e Roberto Alborghetti ( giornalista, scrittore e artista visuale) hanno voluto raccontare a Re Carlo lo sviluppo e l’evoluzione dell’ originale iniziativa partita nello storico Barton Garage di Chilwell (Nottingham).

È stato anche aggiornato sul complesso residenziale di Barton Quarter, progettato - sulla grande area dove un tempo erano custoditi i bus - da Ben Pentreath in associazione con la Prince's Foundation (ora King's Foundation).

Il sovrano non potendo purtroppo presenziare agli eventi programmati presso l’antica Saint John the Baptist Church di Beeston, ha voluto comunque manifestare la sua vicinanza ad una iniziativa che da dieci anni costituisce un ponte di collaborazione tra la Terra di Robin Hood e l’Italia. 

La lettera da Buckingham Palace è un prezioso documento che incoraggia il percorso avviato con l’ innovativa idea di arte visiva incentrata, attraverso il linguaggio multimediale, su differenti punti di vista (e di percezione) rispetto a ciò che noi consideriamo deturpato, deteriorato, decomposto. Come noto, al centro di tutto c‘è un vecchio ed arrugginito bus che, attraverso la ripresa fotografica di Roberto Alborghetti, prende nuova vita ed espressione, in un affascinante racconto per immagini astratte che, appunto, hanno ricevuto attenzione anche da parte di Re Carlo III.
