“Dreams, thrills and roller skates.” And the title of a book turns into reality. In Paris, for the 2024 Olympic Games, the Italian #skateboarding athletes will compete on Wednesday 7 August (preliminary tests at 12.30 and final at 17.30).

The location of Place de la Concorde is extraordinary: the skatepark is located between the Champs Elysées and the Jardin des Tuileries. As those who have already read “Dreams, thrills and roller skates” – a story I wrote for Funtasy Editrice and FISR (Italian Roller Sports Federation) – know, there is also an epilogue precisely in the context of the Olympic Games.

In Paris, Alex Sorgente and Alessandro Mazzara are competing, the very young skater I met and consulted for the writing of the book. We wish the two Italian athletes – led by technical commissioner Daniele Galli – the best results in a discipline that is contested for the second time in the history of the Olympic Games (the debut took place in the previous Tokyo Games).

“Sogni, brividi e rotelle”. E il titolo di un libro si trasforma in realtà. A Parigi, per i Giochi Olimpici 2024, scendono in gara, mercoledì 7 agosto (prove preliminari alle 12:30 e finale alle 17:30) gli atleti azzurri di #skateboarding.

Straordinaria la location di Place de la Concorde: lo skatepark è situato tra gli Champs Elysées e il Jardin des Tuileries. Come ben sanno coloro che hanno già letto “Sogni, brividi e rotelle” – storia che ho scritto per Funtasy Editrice e FISR (Federazione Italiana Sport Rotellistici) – c’è anche un epilogo proprio nel contesto dei Giochi Olimpici.

A Parigi sono in gara Alex Sorgente e Alessandro Mazzara, il giovanissimo skater che ho incontrato e consultato per la stesura del libro. Auguriamo ai due atleti italiani – guidati dal commissario tecnico Daniele Galli – i migliori risultati in una disciplina che è disputata per la seconda volta nella storia dei Giochi Olimpici (il debutto avvenne nei precedenti Giochi di Tokyo).
