Precisely in these days – 16,17 and 18 July 2010 – my macro photographs of “Lacer/actionsi” Project were displayed in the futuristic setting of Oriocenter, one of the largest and most visited shopping centers in Italy. The artworks (they were photographs, not paintings as almost everyone thought!) were placed against the background of the Milan-Bergamo Orio Airport and the profile of one of the most beautiful Italian cities, the Upper Bergamo.

The exhibition had a great success from people – around 30 thousand visitors – and critics all affected by unusual macro-images I captured around the world observing torn advertising paper and natural elements decomposed and corroded by time and the environment. The style of the installation was also very impressive: the artworks were hung on mobile fence panels used to protect construction sites. I actually wanted to give the idea of ​​a project in full development, always open to any solution, collecting moods and sensations of the urban and metropolitan atmosphere.

The newspapers and magazine also talked about the show, underlining the particularity and originality of the project which is always evolving: it has now reached 170,000 images collected in various corners of the planet.

Proprio in questi giorni – il 16,17 e 18 Luglio 2010 – le mie macro fotografie di “Lacer/azioni” andavano in mostra presso l’avveniristica cornice di Oriocenter, uno dei più grandi e visitati centri commerciali d’Italia. Gli artworks (erano fotografie, non dipinti come invece quasi tutti pensavano!) erano collocati sullo sfondo dell’aeroporto di Milano-Bergamo Orio e del profilo di una delle più belle città italiane, Bergamo Alta. Grande il successo di pubblico – circa 30 mila i visitatori – e di critica per queste mie insolite macro-immagini catturate in giro per il mondo osservando la carta della pubblicità strappata e gli elementi naturali decomposti e corrosi dal tempo e dall’ambiente. Aveva molto colpito anche lo stile dell’installazione: le opere erano appese a pannelli per recinzioni mobili utilizzati a protezione dei cantieri edili. Volevamo in effetti dare l’idea di un progetto in pieno sviluppo, aperto sempre ad ogni soluzione. Ne parlarono anche i giornali, sottolineando la particolarità e l’originalità del progetto che è sempre in evoluzione: ha ora raggiunto quota 170.000 immagini raccolte in vari angoli del Pianeta. #laceractions #oriocenter #streetphotography #macrophotography #exhibition #mostre #bergamo
